You can find your TIN (Tax Identification Number) on your tax returns from previous years and Social Security card, as well as Form W-2 and/or 1099. For most individuals, your TIN is your SSN (Social Security Number). If you do not have an SSN, you may need to apply for an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) to file.

If you are filing as a business, you may need an EIN (Employer Identification Number). This can be found on business licenses and permit applications, business bank statements, and tax returns. You can apply directly on the IRS website if you need an EIN.
