Editorial Policy & Guidelines
Editorial guidelines
At Jackson Hewitt, our editorial team is made up of seasoned tax experts who strive to help individuals understand complex tax topics and get every credit and deduction they deserve so they can make the most of their money. Additionally, we may maintain content partnership agreements with trusted third party non-partisan, journalistic entities to provide an even greater breadth of topics that could be relevant to our clients. If you have a question or comment regarding any of our information, please contact media@jtax.com for assistance.
Resources do not replace professional tax advice
Jackson Hewitt’s editorial content is for informational purposes to best help our clients seeking general tax information. Our content is not intended to be individual tax or financial advice.
Everyone’s tax and financial situation is different, and we always recommend consulting a tax professional for individual guidance. Taxpayers who have questions about their tax situation or their individual tax return should reach out to their local Tax Pro or office.
Key principles
- Jackson Hewitt strives to provide helpful and accurate information to readers so they are informed when it comes to their tax returns.
- Each editorial topic is created with the taxpayer in mind, to help address questions they may have about taxes and tax topics.
- Each topic idea goes through a review by multiple tax professionals prior to publication.
- We value transparency and strive to make clear distinctions between our editorial content and marketing content.
