There are many places where you can find your EIN (employer identification number).

  • EIN confirmation letter: Look for Form CP 575, which the IRS sent to confirm your EIN.
  • Last year’s tax return: If you’ve had an EIN for previous tax years, look for it on your old tax returns.
  • Business documents: Your EIN should be listed on business licenses and paperwork, such as W-2s or 1099s.
  • IRS Business & Specialty Tax Line: If you have exhausted every possibility and still can’t find your EIN, call the IRS for assistance at 800-829-4933.

EINs are just one of the many aspects of taxes that can be complicated for employers and small-business owners. The good news? You don’t have to tax alone. Book your appointment to work with the pros today.
