A: Regardless of the format you select − Traditional Classroom, Computerized Classroom or Online − the Basic Income Tax Course is offered in three segments:
- Basic Income Tax 1 - Learn income tax basics such as IRS e-filing, credits, deductions and filing status.
- Basic Income Tax 2 - Covers interest, dividends, capital gains, IRAs, etc.
- Basic Income Tax 3 - Topics include depreciation, Schedule E and basis of property.
Jackson Hewitt also offers intermediate and advanced-level courses that vary in length from 3 to 25 hours, and generally meet once per week.
